I love The Shift. It is both powerful and real at the same time. I frequently recommend it to friends as being 'like one of our conversations'.
I wouldn't move it, to be honest; I feel Substack is a different space and, while I will occasionally listen to podcasts and view video here, it's more a place to dig down and read. I think podcasts belong on Spotify and the Apple Podcasts app, where they can be listened to when someone is wanting to listen.
(That said, I recognise that those platforms are not easy to monetise and when you are providing such excellent content you might well want a way to earn from that, which would be a reason to move it here.)
I love The Shift so so so much!! The guests that you interview are an inspiration to me, and I lean in with my whole heart as they speak to things I can relate to. There is far too much static when it comes to feelings around midlife for women, but I feel like your podcast cuts through the noise and delivers important messages full of honesty and boldness. I've recommended The Shift to my sister and she loves it, too. Thank you Sam for your work, it's remarkable!! Love from Seattle xx
I look forward to the Shift every week! It is refreshing to hear other women tell their stories and I'm from the US so many of the guests you have on I'm not as familiar with which in my view is wonderful, a great way to be exposed to other truly exceptional women.
Love this… any space for women to hear women share and speculate and encourage and inspire other women the better. As the midlife coach I know how much that means… we are the busiest cohort of society - and the least supported. Great podcast!
Lovely to have this introduction, Sam. I am quite new to Substack but have been sucked right in and can imagine it would be very nice to have such a thriving podcast here. I've also noticed a very rich midlife existence among women, which I've found reassuring. So nice to read those stories the mainstream don't seem interested in! I will listen to your podcast today when I finally treat myself to a visit to the gym!

Being deaf I dont really access or gravitate to podcasts. But if you posted the transcript here to Substack I would read all of it!
