I finished The Names this afternoon and this is honestly one of the best books I read in a long time - and I read a lot... Such a brilliant way of telling those three stories - I will have to go back and read them again in another order (this is enough of a spoiler).

Thank you so much for writing this book, I really loved it (and felt completely shattered by it)

All the best from Heidelberg!

Thank you, Sam! Having a curated book list is like hitting the lottery! I hope it's OK to add my recently published book, Embrace The Middle, to the list. It's for and about us. Word on the street (reviews and book award) is that women are loving it.

Thank you for this wonderful list! I’m adding The Dry Season (as I’m thinking if a year is a dry season I’m well into a dangerous drought 🤣) and How To Lose Your Mother to my summer list.

I have a VERY long haul flight coming next month and have The Names all ready to go for the journey….now I just have to hold off reading it before the trip starts 🤦‍♀️

What a great selectio. I have seen some of these getting great reviews on different places. So many books, so little time. Have to knuckle down on the sun lounger and bury myself in books 📚

Ahhhhh, thank you for this cornucopia of recs! I had ordered THE NAMES when you first posted about it ✅ and of course the Megan Abbott was on my radar, but I was thrilled to learn there is a new Denise Mina, and THE BOMBSHELL sounds right up my alley, too…

I've been waiting for Glynnis MacNicol's new one for an age after somehow being able to download the ebook sample and then finding the book was nowhere to be bought! Oh and Febos – what excitement. Thanks, Sam.
