Hello lovely Shifters,

This is a round-up, and an apology. A round-up of a quite stunning (to me) six months on Substack, and an apology, because, yet again, I am ill. I won’t bore on about long covid, but what it means is that basically my immune system is screwed, so that when I get something these days, I can’t get rid of it. Hence the lurgy I had at the beginning of the month has lingered and morphed into a secondary chest infection. I’ll spare you the details.

So, by way of apology, I’ve decided to remove the paywall from a few of my favourite posts of the past year. I’ve marked the paywall-free posts below with an asterisk.
