Sticking two fingers up to "shouldn’t"
What do Kamala Harris, Kate Moss in a one-piece, a 51 year old skateboarder & Forbes 50 over 50 list have in common?
This week, somehow – despite the riots shaming the streets of England (the far right co-opting the devastating deaths of three little girls Bebe King, Alice da Silva Aguiar and Elsie Dot Stancombe); despite the ongoing distraction of Olympics fever (I am currently watching a 51-year-old skateboarder making his Olympic debut out of the corner of my eye); despite Kamala Harris, aged 59, giving the Democrat party hope – the world has still managed to find space in its packed agenda to tell 50+ women what they should and shouldn’t do because they’re y’know, too old for that stuff. What stuff? Pretty much any stuff. Whatever you’re thinking of getting out, don’t. Put it away. Now. It’s… unseemly.
