November bookclub reveal – and it's a smasher!

It’s the last bookclub of 2023, and I’m really delighted to be able to announce that our pick this month is Went to London, Took the Dog, a diary by the one, the only Nina Stibbe. Nina, as many of you will know, is the bestselling author of the beloved Love, Nina, the wickedly fresh memoir in letters from an outsider in 80s literary London who somehow gets to be inside looking out, when she gets a job as a nanny to the editor of the London Review of Books. Praised by just about everyone, compared to the comic genius, Adrian Mole creator Sue Townsend, it was adapted for screen by none other than Nick (High Fidelity) Hornby and starred Helena Bonham Carter.
