Thank you to everyone who read it and came along last night. I love watching this little community grow and seeing the regular faces each month – as well as the newbies who are initially too nervous to speak up in the chat box. I admit this was a particularly gobby evening – the kind that more usually takes place with booze attached. I loved it!
As usual, the conversation was pretty varied. Jennie and I talked about growing up in the 1970s, our dads’ terrible taste in music, shoplifting black cherry lipgloss (naming no names!), the impact of the Yorkshire Ripper on both the local community and a whole generation and watching it happen again in the aftermath of Sarah Everard’s horrific murder.
